• 2.000 years of tradition in ironworking with its decline after 1890
• the earliest settlement of Bohinj and its history
• the first ascent of Triglav – the symbol of Slovene nation
• a peaceful boat trip across the Bohinj Lake (glacier lake), emphasis on its formation and legends from Bohinj
• presentation of the railway as a technical memorial

Excursion program

• the guide enters the bus in Bled
• we follow the road through the lower Bohinj valley (Spodnja dolina) to Ribčev Laz
• sightseeing of Ribčev Laz, the Monument to the four men of the heart
• a one-way ride with the tourist boat Bohinj to Ukanc
• a visit to the waterfall Savica or
• the Alpine Museum or
• the Oplen’s House
• Stara Fužina – ironworks, the Devil’s Bridge and its legend
• we then follow the road through the upper Bohinj valley (Zgornja dolina) to Srednja vas
• pizza party in a renown pizzeria in Bohinj
• after lunch the bus takes us back home
