Excursion theme

• the history of Radovljica with its medieval heart of the town
• presentation of beekeeping – visit to the Museum of Apiculture
• the Kamen Castle – ruins from the 15th century, when in the times of peasant risings and Turkish raids the castle served as a stronghold of the sumpter paths
• Vrba – the house, where our poet Dr. France Prešeren was born
• Nature Reserve Zelenci (the source of the Sava River) – a symphony of nature

Excursion program

• the guide enters the bus in Radovljica
• visiting the Museum of Apiculture in Radovljica
• the bus takes us through Begunje into the Draga valley
• visiting the ruins of the Kamen Castle
• the bus takes us to the village Vrba and we visit the house, where our greatest poet, Dr. France Prešeren, was born
• if desired, we continue our ride to the Nature Reserve Zelenci in the upper valley of the Sava River
• the bus takes us to Žirovnica, where a lunch is waiting for us (a pizza or an ordinary lunch with a juice)
